Bản ghi âm buổi giảng (âm thanh do micro thu).
Mua bản Pro: việc mua và thanh toán do Google Play (Android) hoặc
(ML Kit, qua Google Play services).
5. Quyền truy cập và lý do
Việc ghi âm luôn do bạn chủ động

Privacy Policy
Application: Ghi giảng — Lesson Recorder
Effective date: 28/09/2026 (replaces the version of 24/09/2026)
Applies to the app on Android and iPhone (iOS).
In short: Your lectures — audio, slide images, transcripts and text read from
slides — are stored and processed on your device and never leave it automatically.
The app has no account, no servers of its own, and does not collect personal
information such as your name, email, phone number or location.
1. What this app is
Lesson Recorder is an app (Android and iPhone) for capturing long lectures and seminars: it records the
audio of the talk while automatically photographing the projected slides through the
camera (it detects when a slide changes and takes one aligned photo). In "Audio only" mode the camera
stays off and you capture or scan slides yourself when needed. You can also add slide
photos chosen from your photo library and import an existing audio or video file as a
recording. After a session you get the audio file,
the slide images, a timeline (tap a slide to seek the audio), a PDF, a Vietnamese transcript (and an English one
with an extension), and you can find a lecture again by the text on its slides. All of this runs
on the device.
2. Data the app handles
The app creates and processes the following content, stored in the app's storage on the
device:
Audio recordings of the lecture (captured by the microphone).
Photos of the slides taken by the camera (automatically, by hand, or with the document scanner).
Slide photos you choose from your photo library ("Add slide photos"): the app receives only the
photos you pick in the system photo picker, reads the capture time stored in each photo to place
it at the right minute of the recording, and keeps a copy in that recording. It cannot see your other photos.
Audio or video files you choose to import ("Import a recording"): the app reads the audio,
converts it to the app's format and saves it as a recording; the recording date stored in the file (if any) is
used as the start time. The original file is not changed.
Transcripts (text) produced by an on-device speech-recognition model.
Text read from slide images (on-device text recognition) so you can search and copy it.
Files you create yourself: exports (PDF, audio, video, zip) and backups.
The app does not collect your name, email, phone number, location or contacts. There is no
login account.
3. Your lecture content stays on the device
The app does not upload recordings, slide images, transcripts or slide text to any server. We
operate no servers and receive none of your content.
Content leaves the device only when you choose to export, share or send a file through the
operating system's share sheet (Android or iPhone — for example email, Google Drive, iCloud Drive or a messaging app).
You decide where it goes.
Having an AI assistant fix a transcript (optional)
The app does not connect to any online artificial-intelligence (AI) service and never sends
data to one by itself. Transcripts and slide text are produced by models running on the device. If you wish, you can yourself export a
transcript as an .srt/.txt file (it already contains instructions for an AI assistant) and
send that file to an AI service of your choice, such as Google Gemini, OpenAI ChatGPT or Anthropic Claude.
What is sent: only the file's content — the full transcribed lecture text with timestamps. No
audio, slide images or other personal information.
Who receives it: the company behind the AI service you pick in the share sheet. It handles the
content under its own privacy policy; we never receive this content and do not control how it is handled.
Permission first: before every export the app shows a dialog explaining what the file contains
and who may receive it; the file is created and shared only after you agree.
Purpose: letting the AI assistant correct spelling, punctuation and terminology; you may import
the corrected file back into the app.
A lecture may belong to the lecturer: only send it if you (and the lecturer) agree.
Backups: when you create a backup, the app saves a .zip file to the
Download/GhiGiang folder on your phone so it survives an uninstall. It stays on your phone and is not
sent anywhere; you can delete it in the app or with a file manager. When you tap "Save to device" for an export, it
is saved to Download/GhiGiang/Xuat. (On iPhone, backups are kept in the app's folder,
visible in the Files app under "On My iPhone › Ghi giảng"; exports go wherever you choose to send them.)
4. When the app uses the Internet
Downloading models and extensions: when you use transcription or download an extension
(for example English transcription), the app downloads model files from public hosts
(Hugging Face, GitHub). It only fetches files; it uploads none of your audio, images or text.
Buying Pro: purchases and payments are handled by Google Play (Android) or the
App Store (iPhone) under Google's/Apple's policies. The app never receives your card or payment
details, only a confirmation of the purchase to unlock Pro.
Checking for a new version: the app asks the Google Play app on your
device whether a newer version exists, so it can tell you to update. To answer, Google Play uses device
information and the app version; this is encrypted and not shared with third parties. The app sends none
of your data for this.
Google's text-recognition library (ML Kit): the app uses ML Kit to read slide text on the
device. Images and text are processed on the device and are not sent anywhere. As with
any app using this library, ML Kit sends Google some technical information (device type, operating-system
and app versions, a per-installation identifier that is not used to identify you, and performance and
error metrics) to maintain and improve the service. It is encrypted in transit and not transferred to
third parties. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Document scanning (Android): "Scan document" uses Google's document scanner (ML Kit, via Google
Play services). On first use, Google Play services may download the scanner module. Scanned images are
processed on the device and returned only to the app; technical information sent to Google is the same as for
ML Kit above.
On iPhone: reading slide text and scanning documents use iOS's built-in tools (Vision,
VisionKit), which run on the device, need no Internet and do not use ML Kit.
5. Permissions and why
Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — to record the lecture audio. Core function.
Camera — to detect and photograph the projected slides. In "Audio only" mode the camera is
turned on only when you capture or scan a slide.
Foreground service (microphone type) — to keep recording reliably while the screen is off
or the app is in the background during a multi-hour lecture. Recording is always started explicitly by you
and always shows an ongoing notification.
Notifications — to show the ongoing "recording in progress" notification and the progress
of background jobs (required on Android 13+).
Wake lock — to keep the CPU awake so recording continues while the screen dims.
Background audio (iPhone) — to keep recording while you lock the screen or switch to another app
during a long lecture, and to play a lecture back with the screen off. iPhone always shows the microphone
indicator while recording.
Internet and background data-sync service — to download models/extensions, buy Pro, check for a new version, and run
background jobs such as transcription and reading slide text.
The app requests no location, contacts, phone, SMS, all-files storage or full photo-library
permissions. Slide photos and audio/video files are chosen through the system picker (only the files
you pick reach the app). Backups are saved through the operating system's standard file mechanism, which needs no
storage permission.
6. No data sharing, no selling
We do not share, sell, or rent your data to any third party. The app has no ads. Apart from
the Google services described in section 4 (Google Play, ML Kit), the app uses no other analytics or tracking
toolkit. On iPhone, apart from the App Store (for Pro), the app uses no third-party services. The app uses no online
AI service; a file reaches an AI assistant (section 3) only when you choose to send it.
7. Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from
children.
8. Data retention and deletion
You can delete individual recordings in the app. Deleted recordings stay in the Trash for 30 days
(restorable), then are removed permanently.
Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from the device — except backups you created in
the Download/GhiGiang folder, which you keep or delete as you choose.
Technical information collected by Google ML Kit (section 4) is retained by Google under Google's
policies.
